UPDATE BELOW

On 11-6-09, Investigators located two 16 YOA juvenile males.  Upon questioning these males both admitted to attempting to break into Serrano's home, but both stated each male fired the weapon.  Both males were filed on for Capital Murder, and  both males were placed in the Harris County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Due to the males being juveniles, photographs and names will not be provided at this time.

UPDATE ABOVE

On 11-6-09 at approximately 7:00 p.m. Jubelle Serrano was at home with her 6 year old sister when she heard someone trying to enter her home at 2539 South Camden Parkway.  Mrs. Serrano called her boyfriend and told him someone was trying to break into the house. 

The boyfriend drove to the house and knocked on the front door and did not get an answer. The boyfriend called 9-1-1 and reported what he had been told.  Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff's Office arrived and met the father who arrived shortly after their arrival. The father provided a key to the deputies who entered the home and discovered the victim had been shot and was deceased.

A canvass of the area provied witnesses who observed  two young Black males in the area of the shooting. These males were both wearing white shirts and or jackets and blue denim pants.
