Inmate Mail
- • All inmate mail is inspected upon receipt by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

- • If approved, inmates may receive up to 3 magazine subscriptions and/or books directly from the publisher via standard U.S. Postal Service mail.

- • Legal paperwork from attorneys may be received.

- • No religious items
, food, medicines, greeting cards, pens, pencils, markers, newspapers, envelopes, stamps, stickers, packages, or cash will be accepted through the mail.  Religious items may be requested by the inmate through the HCSO chaplain’s office.

- • Photographs will only be accepted if they are deemed not offensive, are not of a sexual nature, do not contain gang references, and do not display guns, drugs or drug paraphernalia. Photographs shall not be larger than 5” x 7”.
