Missing Adults (18 years of age or older) must be reported in person at any one of the Sheriff's Office Substation to sign a medical/dental information release. It is important to bring a photograph of the missing person to a TRAK equipped Substation so a TRAK flyer can be made and electronically distributed throughout the Harris County area.

Missing Juveniles (17 years of age or younger) may be reported by calling Sheriff's Office Dispatch at 713-221-6000 for a unit to come out and investigate. The Patrol unit will obtain a signed medical/dental information release. It is important to have a photograph of the missing Juvenile so the Deputy can have a TRAK flyer prepared.

Missing persons who are elderly, mentally or physically challenged, calling Sheriff's Office Dispatch at 713-221-6000 for a unit to come out and investigate The Patrol unit will obtain a signed medical/dental information release. There is NO 24-hour waiting period required to report a person as missing.
