Summary Information: Tuesday 06/07/2005, Deputies were dispatched to the scene in reference to a missing person. Deputies met with the reportee who advises that Missing Person John Giddens roommates advised that the Missing Person has not been seen nor heard from since Saturday 06/04/2005. Per the reportee, the Missing Person Employer's advises that the Missing Person was last seen at approximately 2200hrs (06/04/2005), when he got off from work. The Missing Person was last seen wearing his Long John Silver Uniform and driving his 1994, two -(2) door, Green Ford ThunderBird, bearing License # P67GTY Anyone with information as to the wherebouts of John Giddens, please contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Homicide Division - Missing Person's Unit @ 713-967-5740 or 713-221-6000.


How to Report a Missing Person:

  • Missing Adults (18 years of age or older) must be reported in person at any one of the Sheriff's Office Substation to sign a medical/dental information release. It is important to bring a photograph of the missing person to a TRAK equipped Substation so a TRAK flyer can be made and electronically distributed throughout the Harris County area.
  • Missing Juveniles (17 years of age or younger) may be reported by calling Sheriff's Office Dispatch at 713-221-6000 for a unit to come out and investigate. The Patrol unit will obtain a signed medical/dental information release. It is important to have a photograph of the missing Juvenile so the Deputy can have a TRAK flyer prepared.
  • Missing persons who are elderly, mentally or physically challenged, calling Sheriff's Office Dispatch at 713-221-6000 for a unit to come out and investigate The Patrol unit will obtain a signed medical/dental information release. It is important to have a photograph of the missing Juvenile so the Deputy can have a TRAK flyer prepared.
There is NO 24-hour waiting period required to report a person as missing.
